Our Guiding Principles
Our guiding principles for 2021-22 school opening are centered around the health, safety and well-being of our community. In preparation, please take time to carefully review the contents of this plan before discussing with your child or teen.
PPS' Reopening Plan has been thoughtfully prepared with the following core values in mind:

All PPS schools will adhere to enhanced health and safety protocols, including face coverings, increased cleaning, and pooled testing.
Our goal is to ensure that all staff and families have the tools, resources and supports to feel safe and comfortable returning to school.
All non-vaccinated students participating in winter athletics are required to participate in pooled testing

Our Reopening Planning Team has been working hard to establish an action plan that aligns with our core values and goals of mitigating learning gaps (Equity), fostering wellness and collective efficacy (People), supporting connectedness and social-emotional health (Whole Student), and advancing essential standards (Achievement).
Please keep in mind that conditions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic are ever-changing. This plan will be continually evaluated and updated in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
